David is a 26 year old man with Severe Combined Immune Deficiency - which means he has no immune system and requires isolation. David had a bone marrow transplant in an effort to cure this but it was unsuccessful. He also has Idiopathic Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension - a terminal condition that causes David physical weakness and shortness of breath. David now receives palliative care.
David’s mobility is very restricted due to his illnesses and he is unable to socialise due to no immunity. This is really tough for a 26 year old and his main form of socialising and entertainment is online gaming. His mum submitted an application to The Orange Pigeon for him to upgrade his computer so it matched current online gaming requirements and speed, as his computer is older and slow. He received a new CPU, graphics card and more RAM. We also surprised him with new Sennheiser Gaming Headphones.
David’s mum Pauline said “I am thrilled to report that David took delivery of his Wish yesterday and was able to install all the parts, effortlessly. He was able to get online last night and play a game, that he hadn’t been able to play. It has been such a blessing to see him happy and excited about something. He feels so blessed by your kindness. ‘Thank you’ just doesn’t seem enough.” We truly hope that your online gaming experiences are much more exciting now and you enjoy the many avenues of the online world of gaming.
