Amazing Reads

Imagine my shock and surprise when I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colorectal Carcinoma - bowel cancer. I had just turned 40 and was in for the fight of my life.

During my diagnosis, surgery and chemotherapy I kept a journal. I am sharing my story to support people who are going down the same path. I can empathise with them. I can also answer questions for those who are about to embark on this journey. There are many things the medical professionals do not tell you - or you are so overwhelmed you have forgotten. I would also like to speak out about the importance of and to encourage people to be screened for bowel cancer. It may just save your life.

This is my story. I am frank. I am honest. I will make you laugh and I will make you cry.

Part of the proceeds from the sale of each book will go to Bowel Cancer Australia

Born without the lower half of his left leg, young Don Elgin never considered himself disabled until he was in high school – and even then, he had to be convinced. His story, of a boy from the bush who battled the odds and finally stepped onto the podium as a medallist at the Sydney Paralympics, is one of absolute inspiration. Driven by an inherited sense of grit, determination and pure guts, Don overcomes an abundance of obstacles to rise to the top of the sporting heap. His life’s philosophy tells us that success is not a birthright - it’s earned.

Collect Beautiful Moments

Inspired by a letter my Dad wrote to me when I was just five. This book is everything I would have loved to have known or have heard from my Dad over the last thirty years without him here on earth with me. It provides prompts to fill out details about your life, your dreams and wishes for the recipient, letters, photos and so much more.

The amount of time we have here with our loved ones is a true unknown. This beautiful book was created to be a lasting memento, to be handwritten and etched in time. The treasured memories, dreams and wishes of a loved one unfolding in the pages of the book.

Although we live in a digital age there is something so special about a person's handwriting. It doesn't matter how neat or messy your writing, it is what you write inside this book that means the most.

Take photos with everyone you love, take them in a group, take them separately, take silly ones, serious ones, happy ones – just take some. Share photos from the past, the adventures, the things you loved. Put them in the book.

A loved one is irreplaceable, but this book provides the bear hug, the tight squeeze, the memories, the quiet moment of reflection, that provide comfort when it is needed the most.

It is a handwritten legacy to the one you love.

If you have someone in your life that you love as much as life itself, you need to take the time to fill out this book for them. Perfect for Great Grandparents, Grandparents and Parents. This book also makes the perfect memory book for the terminally ill to leave behind to the ones they love.
